I do care for the privacy and security of my readers, which is why I had to make a change...

Remember my previous post about how I’ll improve things further by – amongst others – self-host the PayPal donation button? I did that now, so that no request gets made to PayPal when anyone visits my site.

But here’s the thing… while I was making those changes, I noticed that there was also another request going to PayPal: a pixel.gif!

So it seems like PayPal was doing unsolicited tracking. *sigh*

I fixed that now too, and there should be no requests whatsoever going to PayPal any more (except if you press the button to donate, duh).

Now, still looking for a good and reliable alternative to Google’s reCAPTCHA…
